Sandesh came to the Love God Home in June, 2006 from a Buddhist family.  His father is a drunkard who wants nothing to do with his family.  His mother is extremely poor.  She washes vessels in other peoples' homes for her living.  She was unable to provide an education for Sandesh.

     Sandesh is in Marathi* 6th grade this year.  He is 13 years old.  It would be difficult not to like this boy.  He is always so helpful and cheerful.  Sandesh likes to prepare and serve food.  He also plays the conga drums in church services.

     Sandesh wants to become a church pastor when he grows up.

* In India there are 10 grades in the public school system.  In Maharashtra both Hindi and Marathi are spoken more commonly than English.  The public schools use the Marathi language.
