At nine years old Kajol is the older of the two girls in the Love God Home.  She is a quiet, well-mannered girl.  When we asked the children what they would like to become when they grow up, Kajol replied "a police officer."  She looks after "Pinki" when they are on their way to and from school..

     Kajol excels in her studies.  She is in Marathi 3rd grade* this year.

* In India there are 10 grades in the public school system.  In Maharashtra both Hindi and Marathi are spoken more commonly than English.  The public schools use the Marathi language.
